Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

To qualify to be transferred as an employee, the applicant must meet the following criteria.

  • Are currently employed by a multi-national company and seeking entry to work in a parent, a subsidiary, a branch, or an affiliate of that enterprise.
  • Are transferring to an enterprise that has a qualifying relationship with the enterprise in which they are currently employed, and will be undertaking employment at a legitimate and continuing establishment of that company.
  • Are being transferred to a position in an executive, senior managerial, or specialized knowledge capacity.

ICTs Program Process

The application process is swift and straightforward. However, applicants will be subject to a stringent vetting process with thorough background checks of themselves and their families. Applicants are not required to travel to Grenada to complete the process. The primary applicant must be over 18 years of age.

  • To establish a business operation in Canada, especially for those with specialized knowledge, it's necessary for the company to have a physical location.
  • There are exceptions, particularly for high-level managers or executives.
  • In such situations, it's permissible for the company to initially use an alternative address, like that of their legal advisor, until the executive is able to acquire or rent a space for the business.
  • The company is required to present practical plans for hiring staff for the new venture.
  • The company should possess the necessary financial resources to start operations in Canada and pay its employees.
  • Make sure that the work is overseen and led by the management team at the Canadian branch.
  • When moving a specialist with specific knowledge to Canada, it's essential for the company to show they have ongoing business activities.
