Can employer cancel work permit Canada?

Three entities have the right to cancel the employee’s work permit:

  • The employer
  • The sponsor
  • The employment agent

Before canceling the work permit the following has to be checked:

  1. Mutually agreed last day of the work
  2. Settling all payment issues/ outstanding between employer and employee
  3. Ensure the employee has a valid passport
  4. If the employee wishes to leave the country then the employer must provide him/her with an air ticket back home
